Big Damn prints:
Is a project that I have put together for the past three years that happens every spring. Students from Pratt Institute are asked to cut 4’x8’ wood blocks that are inked up and printed with a steamroller (yes an asphalt flattening steamroller).

Gimme Head:
Brooklyn, NY (October 13, 2006) Several artists have been invited to participate in a group show called Gimme Head, curated by Dennis McNett. The idea of the show comes from a conversation at the bedside of the legendary Richard Mock. The conversation went like this:
D: I’m sick of looking at those big damn Chuck Close heads.
RM: He’s been doing those for years now.
D: You don’t want to get stuck doing heads over and over
M: well not unless they’re drippin and oozin shit.
Each artist has been asked to submit up to three heads. There will be a variety of animal heads, monster heads, dripping heads, oozing heads, barbequed heads, etc… heads of all flavors will be printed, painted, sculpted, and projected all over the gallery space.

Richard Mock Documentation:
Howlingprint is currently documenting the lino-blocks of the late great Richard Mock. Richard did lino-cut prints for the New York Times for over 18 years. He is very loved and missed.
Cannonball Press has been kind enough to assemble a memorial folio to sell to help raise money for this documentation. The proceeds will go to help me pay intern help, supplies and storage of the blocks. These folios can be purchased from Cannonball press.

Evil Prints visit 2007:
These photos were from my visit to Evil Print Studios in St. Louis, Missouri. The visit was hosted by artist and Evil Prints owner, Tom Huck. I was honored to have worked with Tom, his lovely assistant Daniel, and print assistant Ian. His huge 4x8 foot custom press was amazing. Damn good time and printed lots of stuff.

Visiting Artist University of Wisconsin 2007:
The print club at the University of Wisconsin was kind enough to invite me out a visit. The first two days Drew, David and myself printed the hell out of some blocks while listening to Black Sabbath and Slayer. I think it was over 400 impressions in two days including large 6 foot wolves on muslin, magnets, and tons of smaller images.
The print club kept half of everything printed to sell. Day 3 I gave two lectures and crits to the students there. It was really great.
